Campden Wealth are pleased to announce the inaugural Saudi Arabian Family Enterprise (SAFE) Initiative 2020, held in collaboration with Invest Saudi from 2-5 February 2020 in King Abdullah Economic City - North JeddahKSA.  

This landmark and timely gathering will convene distinguished business families and their active private investment offices globally, to anchor ideas and in-depth conversations on how to build a roadmap for sustaining growth through today’s tests, transitions and transformations.



Under the privacy of Chatham House rule, the conference will be co-chaired by two distinguished, active family principals:

Muhammad Alagil– Chairman of Jarir Group, which comprises his family’s prominent operating businesses, and CEO of Jarir Investment, his diversified family office.

Dr Ghassan Alsulaiman– Chairman of the Board of Alsulaiman Group, a distinguished family conglomerate based in Jeddah, as well as Chairman of IKEA Saudi Arabia.


2 February 2020 | Golf Means Business - European Tour & Welcome Majlis

Preceding the conference all families will be welcome to participate and enjoy the final day of the 2020 Saudi Golf Tournament at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club as distinguished guests.

The Saudi International Tournament, officially sanctioned by PGA and the Saudi Gulf Federation, provides an opportune event to connect in good company and be captivated by a national sporting endeavour.

Anticipate timing from 12pm for an all-day event. Shuttle bus (times below) will be available from the Views Hotel & Residence to The Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.

Following the all-day Golf event, attendees will have transport provided to the nearby Lagoona Escape and invited to sip and supper at a welcome majlis overlooking the Red Sea.

Anticipate timing from approximately 6pm for 3 hours. Transportation will be provided for those joining from both The Royal Greens Golf & Country Club as well as Views Hotel & Residence following the end of the Saudi Golf Tournament. Returns provided to the two aforementioned locations.

3-4 February 2020 | Private Conference

During the conference, attendees will gain refreshing insight on what the new family, business and investment landscape will look like and exchange experiences for how to structure, invest and plan to protect family wealth and future growth. 

Through a series of group workshops, interactive panel discussions, case studies and keynote interviews – attendees will be at the heart of practical conversations on strengthening traditional sources of wealth with new avenues of growth as well as progressing legal and governance structures to pre-empt multigenerational needs.

At the end of 3 February, all attendees will also be invited to participate at the Evening Gala, taking place at approximately 6:30PM at Juman poolside (200 meter walk across from the conference venue). Drinks and light food will be provided for more networking.

4-5 February | Broadening Horizons: Al Ula

SAFE 2020 culminates with an opportunity to see, feel and explore Al Ula - a UNESCO heritage site and National archaeological treasure.

Attendees will benefit from an unmatched ability to build friendships and cement relationships with qualified peers in a discreet and unique ‘safe harbour’ environment, uncovering a new era of business and lifestyle in Saudi Arabia – one of the most populous and wealthiest nations in the Middle East, the heart of the Arab world.

Following the end of conference on 4 February, the Al Ula excursion will follow an overnight social enrichment programme commencing on the evening of the 4 February.

At approximately 6pm attendees (and their luggage) will be picked up from the reception of the Views Hotel & Residence (conference venue) and transported to Jeddah airport to board a group flight to Al Ula.

During the evening of the 4th February, attendees will dine in the desert under the stars.

Complimentary accommodation at a designated resort will be provided on the night of the 4 February with complimentary breakfast the following morning.

A day trip on Wednesday 5th February will then commence to include the following:

  • Exploration of 3 Sites
  • Live Show
  • UNESCO site
  • Lunch & Snacks

At the end of the tour, transfers will be provided and attendees will arrive back in Jeddah airport for approximately 8PM on Wednesday 5th February. 

For those travelling beyond Jeddah at the end of SAFE 2020, we advise to book your onwards from 6th February.

DRESS CODE: Smart Casual however a jacket required as its extremely cold at night.
