Campden Wealth is trilled to announce the return of our Family Business, Enterprise & Innovation Meeting, taking place in-person September 13-15, in partnership with multi-generational family-owned, Brown-Forman Inc.

Family business and enterprise leaders are a special breed. They focus on long-term growth while mitigating short-term family risk. They have to combine business opportunity with family politics. And most of all – they have to keep both eyes open when communicating. Over two days, we will have the opportunity to hear from members of this special group. They will be sharing the secrets of what makes a good business owner and how to build a world-leading business and family.

Pre-Conference Activities (September 13)

New to Campden Wealth’s gathering in beautiful Louisville are two back-to-back experiences certain to excite and entice. First, join your peers as we explore the root of America’s pastime. This personalized tour of the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory will take you through the iconic stories that built this multi-million-dollar brand. Next up, wet your whistle as we wander through Louisville’s World-famous Bourbon District to the Rabbit Hole Distillery. Join us as we are taken through the wonderous maze of pipes, vats, tanks and barrels – with ample samples along the way.

Speaker Highlights (September 14-15)

Leading A 6th Generation Global Business - Hear the Brown family story from 5th generation Chairman, Campbell Brown. During this opening session from his hometown, Campbell will be combining the history of the company, including how the family faired during prohibition, and the current challenges and opportunities facing the family and business in 2022.

Keynote Case Study – Natori - After his insightful and informative presentation in 2018, second generation President Ken Natori will be returning to Campden Wealth to update us on everything that has happened at The Natori Company and family in the last four years.

Building a Company, Corporate and Family Culture – In 2009, fourth generation Corky Taylor sold the financial services company that he founded. After trying retirement, he decided to resurrect Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company after 98 years. His great grandfather, Henry Kraver, was owner of the distillery in Henderson, Kentucky from 1896 to 1917. Corky is currently bringing back the family history and has re-opened a grain to bottle distillery in downtown Louisville. You will hear the history of the business and the vision of this entrepreneur.

Networking Sessions

Ice Breaker Networking - Start your networking and community experience from the first morning of the event. During this short networking session, you will go around the table, introduce yourself, and share your meeting goals with surrounding peers.

Thematic Networking - Tailor your meeting experience by attending a thematic roundtable. One of the new innovations for the Campden meetings are hour-long thematic networking sessions. Each provides the opportunity to choose a micro subject to share your knowledge and experiences and gain insight and seek guidance from your fellow community members.

Serendipitous Networking - The last few years isolated in our homes has shown the importance of serendipitous connectivity. We have taken the Zoom breakout sessions and brought them into the in-person meeting experience. You will be given a table number at the beginning of the day and for an hour, you will have the opportunity to make 7-8 new friends, contacts, and potential business and investment partners.

Bourbon Tasting & Rooftop Cocktail Reception with Brown-Forman  - At the end of the first day of the conference, Brown-Forman will give you the opportunity to sample and hear the history and characteristics of some of their brands. This will be followed by a Rooftop Cocktail Reception on the 16th floor of the hotel.
